Treatment for Anxiety and Panic

Helping Teens and adults feel calm and peaceful.

Many people find life overwhelming at one point or another.

Many people who come to me to work on anxiety feel so anxious that they can’t make decisions or take action. Perhaps you can relate. Maybe you feel like you want to escape your life or you constantly worry — and then worry about how much you worry!

Stuck with racing thoughts and feeling worried all the time, you may feel like life is spent constantly feeling “on edge”.

Do You Feel Stressed, Worried, Panicky?

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You feel unable to do your day-to-day responsibilities.
  • You are in a constant state of panic and it rules your life.
  • You feel dread, fear, strange thoughts, and a pounding heart.
  • You feel fear stricken, even in the “comfort” of your own home.
  • Your anxiety causes physical symptoms like shortness of breath, muscle tension or sweating.

If these sound true for you, I want you to know that you’re not “crazy.” And even though you might feel alone in your struggle, what you are going through is common and it’s okay to ask for help.

You don’t have to keep putting yourself last, caring for everyone else before you take care of yourself.

Anxiety Treatment Can Help You Be Able to Relax

It’s possible to feel better. Imagine a life where you could…

  • Stop worrying all the time.
  • Control how you respond to anxious thoughts.
  • Finally be free from years of constant anxiety and panic attacks.
  • Stop letting anxiety affect the way you live or make any decisions for you.

Control Your Anxiety

Anxiety Treatment helps you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less less stress and more calm. You will get hands on, practical skills to manage your symptoms. I will also teach you techniques to bring more peace in to your daily life.

I use three approaches to help my clients overcome their anxiety. First, I teach relaxation techniques which are useful in both preventing anxious symptoms from intensifying and minimizing those that are already present. Second, I provide coping strategies so that the client will know what to do when in an anxiety-provoking situation. Lastly, I use a psychodynamic approach to partner with the client in discovering why the anxiety began. Discovering and processing the root cause is key in eliminating feelings of anxiety.

In this way, you will get the effective skills you need to uncover strengths and learn new life skills and finally find answers and help you need.

Even if you are nervous about starting therapy, I’d love to help.

PANIC ATTACKS

Panic disorder is a specific type of anxiety disorder marked by panic attacks. Panic attacks come on suddenly with a lot of physical symptoms that can be extremely frightening. Many people mistakenly believe that they are having a heart attack. Some of my clients even tell me that they experience fear so intense that they believe that they may die. Other symptoms may include difficulty breathing, sweating, nausea, shaking or hot flashes. The experience is so terrible that once someone has experienced it, there is often a constant fear that it will occur again.

For those who get panic attacks, I’ll help you tune in to early warning signs that a panic attack may occur. You can then implement the coping strategies that you’ve learned in therapy to stop it before it even starts. I have had much success in treating panic disorder. Most of my clients report a reduction or even an elimination of panic attacks after the first visit!
